However, we believe ALL pawnbrokers should be licensed and so we pay extra to conduct FBI background checks to ensure you can feel confident you are dealing with people of integrity and your merchandise will be treated with respect and be in safe hands for the duration it is in our safekeeping. Be sure to ask other pawnshops you intend to do business with if their pawnbrokers are licensed.

A pawn loan is a fast and easy way to get the cash you need without the hassle of a bank, payday lenders or credit checks. A pawn loan is a collateral-based loan, meaning that the loan is secured by your merchandise. Your credit score and background will not be used to determine if you can receive a loan. We will offer you a loan based on the items that you bring in; age condition and resale value are all used to determine the loan amount. Your items will be securely held at the location where you are getting a loan. You may redeem your items at any time before the end of the loan term (our loans are written for one month and have an automatic grace period) by paying the amount you borrowed, plus interest and fees. If your loan is not paid by the end of the grace period, your items will become the property of Momentum Pawn. Of course, the details of your loan will be carefully explained before you leave the store. Just bring in your valid, government-issued ID and you can walk out with cash in hand in minutes!

Gold, silver, diamonds, jewelry items (rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.), watches, cameras, laptops, designer goods, and musical instruments are all items that can be used as collateral for a pawn loan. It is important to note that not every item that falls into these categories will be accepted. Our staff will determine the value of the item and whether it is acceptable for a loan. Some items are more valuable, and some carry certain restrictions. For example, technology becomes outdated quickly and drops in value, so older items may no longer have much value. All items will be inspected and tested to ensure that they are working properly. We do not accept broken items, although broken gold still has value. No. We cannot give you a quote or appraisal over the phone or by email. You must physically bring in your item to any of our locations for pricing.

Pawn loans are non-recourse, so you have no obligation to pay back the loan if you are unable, or choose not to. You can, if you choose, pay just the service charges for the time that you have borrowed the money for and keep the money you borrowed longer. Always remember, if circumstances prevent you from paying the loan back, it will not affect your ability to borrow money in the future.

NO. We do not accept stolen merchandise. Every transaction requires a non-expired, valid government-issued ID that is kept on file. All items are entered into our POS system and are uploaded every night to a central database used by law enforcement officials to search for stolen items. Momentum Pawn does not tolerate theft and will seek restitution for items pawned that later turn out to be stolen.
